So you want a true look at what it's like to live the life of…
I know, I know. You’re probably dying to know what a day in my life looks like as an Email Marketing Specialist. I have spent the last 3 months of my life working as one, and let me tell you, I am obsessed.
5 months ago I made the decision to pack up my life and move to Southern California with no friends, no job, and 2 roommates I didn’t personally know. It sounds insane because it is insane, but it was the best decision I have ever made. Within 2 months of living here in San Diego, I scored my dream job, a wonderful friend group, a beautiful house, and a great appreciation for the West Coast life. Not to brag, but I truly feel like I’ve hit the lottery, especially with Taylor & Pond.
This is a day in my life as an email marketing specialist!

When I first started working as an Email Marketing Specialist, I had no idea what my day to day would look like. I was nervous initially, but I immediately knew this was the job for me when I met my fellow email marketing team. Our copywriters, designers, managers, and directors are some of the best people I have ever met and seeing them daily makes my heart soar.
Each day looks different as an Email Marketing Specialist. If I am not reaching out to clients for approvals, I am in excel putting together a project or reviewing copy. Regular email checking and weekly meetings are a must, and not to mention the time spent internally reviewing designs and collaboration with my team.
More recently, I have taken on a couple of projects that will not only help the deliverability and reach of our emails but will also help to increase overall revenue for our clients. I am leading an updated A/B testing project where I will be tracking the differing results of an email based on two key factors, send date and send time. This will be a 4-month long process, and I couldn’t be any more excited to take this on. The goal of this project is to optimize deliverability, increase open rate, increase click rate, and maximize the amount of revenue generated per email.
Taylor & Pond is wonderful, but what’s even more wonderful is that I love the clients I get to work with. Leading strategic projects, hitting key performance indicators (KPI’s), and creating fundamentally strong client relationships is something I am passionate about, and I am blessed to have been given the opportunity to do so.
This year, I am stoked to be able to go above and beyond for our Email Marketing Clients. There is nothing more rewarding than waking up in the morning and knowing that you played a part in the growth of someone’s business. So, if you’re ever in need of an Email Marketing Specialist who is (a little too) obsessed with her job, you just found your girl.
