How Does the Try On Tool Work?

To get started, you must grant permission to Covergirl to launch your camera. From there, you can easily toggle between five different looks, ranging from dark and vampy to bright and light for spring. If you’re trying on with a desktop, you can see exactly what products are used and other suggested products to complete the look displayed in a list below the camera. After you choose a look you love, just click “BUY LOOK” and you’ll be directed to the shopping cart page at walmart.com. The items needed for the look will be preloaded into the cart. All you have to do is click “check out,” and the products are yours!

How Does a Virtual Try On Experience Help a Brand?

It’s no secret that developing augmented reality tools takes a while, especially when they are as interactive and robust as the Covergirl Try On Tool; however, the effort is not in vain. These tools give consumers a better overall experience with the brand, which only increases the likelihood that they will become valued long-term customers. They’re also a compelling way to get consumers involved with the brand outside of the average shopping experience. Additionally, they can help reduce the amount of returns a brand or retailer gets from customers who are not happy with the products they’ve ordered.
