Meet Britt K Beauty

Britt K Beauty started out her career in social media while she was in her 30’s, working full-time and caring for her two little ones. She’s always been an avid makeup lover and began sharing her everyday looks on Instagram. Now, she hosts a morning live reaching thousands about her daily makeup routine. In these live videos, she stresses the idea that with practice, patience and consistency you can do anything and the importance of having confidence in your abilities.

1. What made you decide to start posting beauty & makeup looks?

I began my Instagram page as a means of critiquing my makeup each time I created a look. I would look at the things I liked about what I’d done. Most importantly, I’d look for the things I needed to improve on. I would do this consistently and began to slowly see growth, and I still do this with every look. With my Facebook Lives, I’m one of those people who will sit in front of a mirror and explain what I’m doing as if I have an audience, so I figured why not bring people along with me!

2. What beauty brands do you love and why?

I love high end, drug store and indie brands alike. Out of the many that I’ve tried, my top favorite is Juvia’s Place for their crazy pigmented eyeshadows and eclectic selection of palettes. Anastasia Beverly Hills and Kat Von D Beauty have amazing foundations, shadows, as well as complexion products. I also love Black Radiance Beauty for their lippies and contouring products.

3. What are three beauty products that you would take if you were deserted on an island?

I would make sure to take moisturizer, facial spray and lip balm to keep my skin hydrated.

4. If you could switch places with any celebrity who would it be and why?

Rihanna — she’s beautiful, talented and intelligent. Not to mention, she’s KILLING the beauty game right now.

5. What’s your favorite lip shade?

Anytime that I don’t know what to do with a lip, I grab Lolita from Kat Von D Beauty. It’s the perfect nude lippie for me.

6. Do you have makeup tip or hack to share?

Spoolies are your best friend. They are great for brow grooming and cleaning up the top edge.  If you get glitter fall out, they work great for brushing it away with ease and not having to use tape to pick it up. Also, if you accidentally get mascara on your face or eye look, allow it to dry and then use the spoolie to gently scrape off. Removes without a trace.
